The Sacramental Principle

That which is always and everywhere true needs to be noticed, celebrated, and accepted in a particular time and place.

The professor's student explained that mass is kind of like your birthday! Everyone says nice things about you and what they like about you on your birthday, but this doesn't mean it's not true any other day. It's just that your birthday is the day when good things about you, which is always and everywhere true, needs to be noticed, celebrated, and accepted.
